Located in the northwestern part of the region, 27 km northeast of Demidov , 28 km northeast of the P133 Smolensk- Nevel highway. 75 km south of the village there is a Smolensk railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
