It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, 27 km north-west of Gagarin , 30 km east of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Ladenka river. 27 km south of the village is the Vasilisino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
