It is located in the northeastern part of the region, 18 km north-west of Gagarin , 25 km north of the M1 Belarus road. The railway station Vasilisino on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 16 km south of the village.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
