It is located in the northeastern part of the region, 8 km south-west of Gagarin , 10 km north of the M1 Belarus road. At 0.1 km to the south of the settlement, the Vasilisino railway station is located on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

Named in honor of Vasilisa Kozhina , rural old-age and heroine of the Patriotic War of 1812. During the Great Patriotic War, the station was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
