It is located in the north-eastern part of the region 16 km south of Gagarin , 12 km south of the M1 Belarus highway. 18 km north of the village is the Gagarin railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
