It is located in the northeastern part of the region, 21 km southeast of Gagarin , 17 km south of the Belarus highway M1 . 20 km north of the village is the Kolesniki railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
