Located in the northeastern part of the region, 8 km south-east of Gagarin , 1 km south of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Aleshni River. The railway station Kolesniki on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 4 km north of the village.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
