It is located in the northeastern part of the region, 19 km southeast of Gagarin , 5 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Bezerka River . 1 km west of the village is the Batyushkovo railway platform on the Moscow - Minsk line . Not far from the village is the village of the same name .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in February 1942 . [one]
