It is located in the northeastern part of the region, 19 km northeast of Gagarin , 26 km north of the M1 Belarus highway. 22 km south-west of the village is the Gagarin railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
