It is located in the northeastern part of the region 15 km west of Gagarin , 19 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Sezha River. 9 km southeast of the village is the Vasilisino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
Climate
The climate is temperate - continental, with average summer temperatures: from 16 to 25 during the day, at night it can drop to + 11 degrees, in winter it drops below -15 to 25 degrees below zero. Western air masses prevail.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 [1] .
