It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, 18 km north-east of Gagarin , 15 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Moscow River. 11 km south of the village is the Batyushkovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
