Durovo is a village in the Gagarinsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Akatovsky rural settlement. As of 2007, there is no permanent population.

It is located in the northeastern part of the region, 20 km northeast of Gagarin , 15 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Moscow River. 10 km south of the village is the Batyushkovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
