It is located in the eastern part of the region, 36 km north-east of Vyazma , 10 km south of the Belarus highway M1 . At 16 km north-west of the village is the railway station O.p. 204th km on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
