Located in the eastern part of the region, 35 km north-west of Vyazma , 27 km west of the P134 “Old Smolensk Road” road Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the bank of the Khmelitka river. 31 km east of the village there is the railway station Kasnia on the Vyazma- Rzhev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
