It is located in the eastern part of the region, 30 km north-east of Vyazma , 8 km north of the Belarus highway M1 . 1 km south of the village is the Tumanovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
