It is located in the eastern part of the region, 23 km west of Vyazma , 3 km north of the Belarus highway M1 . 8 km south of the village is the 273rd km railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
