Tarasovo is a village in the Vyazemsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Otnosovsky rural settlement. As of 2007, there is no permanent population.

It is located in the eastern part of the region 12 km west of Vyazma , 1.5 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Vyazma river. 7 km south-west of the village is the Semlyovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
