Geographical position
It is located in the eastern part of the region, 3 km west of Vyazma , 1.5 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Bebr River . 6 km south of the village is the Zolotarevka railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [1] .
In 1963, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, the village of Zhipino in the Vyazemsky rural region was renamed into the village of Victory [2] .
