It is located in the eastern part of the region 12 km west of Vyazma , 8 km north of the Belarus highway M1 . 12 km southeast of the village is the Zhdanovka railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
