It is located in the eastern part of the region, 7 km north-east of Vyazma , 3 km east of the P134 Stara Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Roshchechka River. 2 km north of the village is the Fomkino railway station on the Vyazma - Rzhev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
