Located in the northwestern part of the region, 9 km north-east of Velizh , 11 km north of the P133 Smolensk - Nevel highway. 82 km south of the village, the Rudnya railway station is located on the Smolensk- Vitebsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
