Taraz 2012
On December 28, 2011, a Serbian specialist, winner of the European Cup 90/91 Lyubomir Petrovich , was appointed to the post of head coach of Taraz. Under the leadership of Petrovich “Taraz” took the 4th place.
On September 26, 2012, the club management announced its refusal to participate in the championship of Kazakhstan and the withdrawal from the Football Federation of Kazakhstan. The reason was the decision of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan to appoint a replay of the match of the Premier League of Kazakhstan “Taraz” “Tobol” - 1: 0, held on September 24, 2012. Tobol Football Club filed a complaint against prejudicial refereeing, as a result of which the referee Sergei Pasko was disqualified for life, one of the linesmen - until the end of the season, the result of the match was canceled and a replay was scheduled. The complaint stated that S. Pasko mistakenly awarded a penalty to the goal of FC “Tobol”, and at the end of the match mistakenly canceled a goal against the goal of “Taraz” because of the “offside” position.
On October 3, 2012, the FFK Appeal Committee overturned the decision of the Control and Disciplinary Committee to annul the outcome of the match between the Tobol and Taraz teams and the subsequent replay, explaining that Tobol violated the protest procedure ( Article 145 of the FFK Disciplinary Rules )
The football club Taraz finished the season in fourth place.
Taraz 2013
On May 14, 2013 Petrovich was dismissed. The head coach of the backup team Nurmat Mirzabaev temporarily acted. On June 8, 2013, the Dutch specialist, who previously headed the national team of Kazakhstan and the Astana football club, became the head coach of Taraza. Then he was fired due to poor results.
