Name Origin
It got its name in the 19th century due to its proximity to the Novodevichy Convent .
Description
Novodevichy Embankment is a continuation of Savvinskaya from Novodevichy Passage , runs southwest opposite Berezhkovskaya Embankment along the park at the Novodevichy Convent, the Khamovnichesky Val begins to the right, then passes under the Luzhnetsk railway bridge of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway and the Berezhkovsky Bridge of the Third Transport Ring , passes over Luzhnitskaya street into Luzhnitskaya street the embankment . There are no houses on the waterfront.
