History
Since 1967, Crusaders have flown 13 times in the very first European Cup rounds, without winning a single victory in 26 matches. Particularly noteworthy is the 0:11 debacle away from the Dynamo Bucharest in the 1973/74 Champions Cup.
In the first qualifying round of the Europa League 2015/15, the Northern Ireland club finally managed to win the first victory and advance to the next round: Lithuanian Ekranas was beaten twice (3: 1 and 2: 1).
In the first qualifying round of the 2015/16 Champions League, the team met with the Estonian champion Levadia (0: 0; 1: 1), and in the second round with the Albanian Skenderbeu , which lost by the sum of two matches (1: 4; 3 : 2).
After becoming the champion of Northern Ireland in the 2017/18 season , Krusaders returned to the Champions League a year later, having begun their performance from the first qualifying round. At this stage, the club got the permanent champion of Bulgaria " Ludogorets ". Both matches ended in defeat with a total score of 0: 9 and the departure of the team from the tournament.
