Elena Furman ( Dutch: Hélène Fourment ; April 11, 1614 - July 15, 1673 ) is the second wife of the famous Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens . The daughter of a friend of Rubens, carpet dealer Daniel Furman, gave birth to five children, and the youngest was born after the death of Rubens. After the death of the artist, Elena Furman married Jan Baptista van Brookhoven, to whom she gave birth to a son, Jan.
