imec ( Interuniversity Microelectronics Center ), IMEC is an international micro- and nanoelectronic research center in Leuven ( Belgium ) with branches in the Netherlands, Taiwan, China, India, the USA and Japan. imec is exploring the possibilities of creating new generations of micro- and nanoelectronic devices, which will be mass-produced in 3-10 years. Imec employs about 2,000 people.
