Yakhontov, Arkady Nikolayevich (09/18/1876, St. Petersburg - 09/29/1938, Nice [1] ) [Comm 1] - current state adviser, Russian public figure, teacher, publicist.

Father, Nikolai Nikolaevich Yakhontov (1837-1912), came from the nobility of the Pskov province: his grandfather, A. A. Yakhontov , was a real privy councilor, participant in the Napoleonic Wars.

My father was twice married. From the first wife, Elena Pavlovna (nee Chelysheva), there were four children: Elena ( 12/ 19/1863—?) [Comm 2] , Nikolai (11/17/1867 - 01/25/1942, Belgrade), Pavel (04/01/1869–28/04/1932 ) [Comm 3] , Faith; from the second, Anna Arkadyevna (nee Arbuzova) had three children: Maria (1874-1963, Belgrade), Arkady and Mikhail (1878—?).

Arkady graduated from the Alexander Lyceum in 1899 [Comm 4] . He was a teacher at the Alexander Lyceum (1901-1908).

He served in the Office of the Council of Ministers: he was the personal secretary of P. A. Stolypin , chairman of the Council of Ministers; miraculously did not suffer during the attempt on the life of Stolypin at the cottage on Aptekarsky Island on August 12, 1906 [2] .

A. N. Yakhontov, together with a former classmate, S. M. Asnash, compiled the "Description of the Pushkin Museum of the Imperial Alexander Lyceum . "

From May 1914 to October 1916 - Assistant Administrator of the Council of Ministers. In 1926, on the basis of records from this period, he compiled, published in the Archive of the Russian Revolution (T. 18), the historical material Hard Days [3] [4] [Comm 5] .

In the period 1916-1918 he was the director of the Office of the Ministry and the Acting Comrade Minister of Railways. In 1918-1920 - Head of the Finance Department of the Government of the South of Russia. Since 1920 - in exile.

He was the director, opened on October 3, 1925, at the Alexandrino school in Nice for children of emigrants from Russia [5] .

In 1936 he published a series of memoirs. He was the compiler of the book “Historical sketch of the Imperial Aleksandrovskago (former Tsarskoselskago) Lyceum. 1811-1936 . "

He was buried in Cannes at the Abadi cemetery.
