The States of Guernsey ( fr. États de Guernesey , Engl. The States of Guernsey ) is the parliament of the crown ownership of the British crown of Guernsey , its building is located in St. Peter Port .
Parliament consists of 45 elected deputies and 2 representatives of Alderney .
In the crown ownership of Guernsey there are no political parties , all deputies are independent . Candidates are elected democratically through popular vote . Meetings in the States are held every month except August . [one]
The functions of state administration are carried out by ten departments headed by the minister .
