Kazantseva, Elena Vladimirovna

Elena Vladimirovna Kazantseva (born December 5, 1956 , Minsk ) is a Belarusian poetess and songwriter, writing in Russian .

She graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Energy of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute ( 1981 ), with a degree in electrical engineering. She worked at the plant, in design and research institutions.

He has an incomplete secondary musical education (5 classes of music school), plays the guitar and piano. Since 1987 she has been writing songs, became part of the Alley AP association, under the leadership of Mikhail Volodin . In 1988 she became a laureate of the Second All-Union Festival of Author's Song in Tallinn. In 1989 - 1991 led one of the Minsk amateur song clubs. In 1991 , she published her poems in the Samizdat magazine Idiot .

In 1997 , she recorded her debut album “For a Long, Long Memory”, followed by “Alyoshenka Rides in a Cab” (1998), “Do You Remember, Border Guard, It Was Summer” (1999), “Queen of the District” (2001), “ The system of views and concepts ”(2003). She published a book of poems “City Evening” (1992) and “Concert (in two sections)” (2002).

Poems by Kazantseva were included in the anthology " Stanzas of the Century " and " Freed Ulysses ." Criticism noted that the poetry of Kazantseva far exceeds the average level of texts in a bard song [1] .
