Kitty (film, 2009)

The film consists of five monologue stories with its own main character in each of them: a baby, a teenager, a successful businessman, an unlucky writer and an aged ballerina.

The first story. Mad Ballerina

Elderly ballerina Varechka ( Mikhail Efremov ), whom no one needs, tells the story of her career. She has no work, no money, no fans, all she has left is a dog-dog, which she calls Isadora Duncan, and memories of a past life, of a mad desire for the stage, for a career. Once she was a young girl, full of hope, dreaming about the main roles on the stage, and absorbed the moral of her first teacher - “sacrifice, stubbornness, fanaticism and hard labor”. Refusing all human pleasures, she devotes her time to rehearsals. However, to get on the main role she is not allowed. Insane intrigue, conspiracy, and even attempts to poison her can not break her resolve. She falls in love, but never gets married, breaks up, suffers trauma. And now - no one needs. The people she loved are no more. And from girlfriends - only three are the same former dancers, poor and lonely, three of them living in a one-room apartment. Varechka likes to mock them, proudly bringing them money handouts. Everything she does now in her life is shocking to others about the search for food in the garbage. Full of skepticism and cynicism, she still does not want to come to terms with the cruel truth, about which she was told by reputable and beloved people - she simply does not have talent.

The second story. Marriage of convenience

Lucky businessman Victor ( Alexander Strizhenov ) spies on his bride on his wedding day. His chosen one - the elderly Polechka - was chosen by calculation: according to rumors, she is the owner of a large block of shares. Marriage as a business plan, he could not afford to be wrong in this matter. They met in the theater, after a short courtship, he offered her marriage. Having spent more than 3 million euros in the process of caring for the "billionaire", he is madly jealous, arranges surveillance of her, rummaging in her records. However, he is not tormented by treason, but by the uncertainty, the instability of his plans. Once he caught Polina with an unknown man and quarreled with her. However, when a week later she promised him to be forever honest, the wedding was scheduled immediately. The main thing is that the marriage contract states that in the event of a divorce, the property is divided in half. Well, what if it is not sincere love and trust? Victor is inspired by such a successful marriage deal. But suddenly, having overheard the conversation of two guests at the wedding, he realizes that he is not a business shark, but she. It turns out that the wealth of Polechki came to an end, and she “routed” him - young and rich.

The third story. Strange dream

A small child Seryozha of only 1 year old ( Viktor Sukhorukov ) worries from the fact that he has not yet learned to walk. Despite his youth, he is already full of adult passions and tells his story with cynical contempt in his voice. He hates nanny Svetka and loves spending time in front of the TV. His favorite shows are about chase and persecution. At night, he is visited by visions of bloody hacked bodies, bulging horrible eyes, and caked hair. The words “voluptuousness” and “depravity”, once spoken by his father, were well remembered by his age-old cynical mind. And he conceived a cruel plan to destroy the hated Svetka. Learning to take the first unstable steps and hiding a kitchen knife, he ponders the scene of the murder. At the last moment, however, the neighbor girl is hindering the crime. Pursuing her, in the elevator Seryozha stumbles upon a huge shaggy dog, and it is covered with horror - the light goes out, and he remembers his bloody dreams. But no - the world is not so cruel as his imagination - the dog just licked the boy and did not harm him.

The fourth story. Kitty, or From the Author

An unknown writer Pavlik ( Yevgeny Stychkin ), after thirty years of writing “on the table,” suddenly receives a contract from the publishing house for all subsequent 386 novels. On the way home, he gets under the car, and the driver, seeking to make amends, buys him a black kitty. With the money they earn, they and their mom start building a country house - four floors for her, for him and for the future wife. It's time to write a novel, but nothing good comes up in your head. Two weeks pass, but "the thought does not go." It is a shame to the author, after all all their fine project with the house is under a threat. But finally, the house is built. The author retires with the cat on her third floor, and she begins to dictate a novel to him. By evening, the novel is ready, and Pavlika is waiting for publication, fame and money. The kitty will live on the bride's floor, she and Kitty will be born with Pavlik, peace and happiness will prevail in his soul. “Meow!” He will say finally.

Bonus story. Chris-Maria de Lever

Teenage girl Nastya, 14, ( Svetlana Ivanova ) is madly in love with a star, a 25-year-old singer. His name is Pain, he is a well-known personality, shoots clips and even at Nastya's mother is present on the screen saver in the computer. Nastya is scared to meet him personally. To this end, she registers on the Internet under the fictitious name of Chris-Maria de Levier, thus, that they invented with her mother in childhood. He publishes his photos in a cap and dark glasses, and timidly draws a message to the star, hoping for nothing. And - lo and behold! - the star responds. He turns to her "Svetka" and invites guests before the concert. Why? It turns out that under this same name and with photos in a cap and dark glasses is the page of the mother.
