The Audit Chamber of the Kirov Region (KSP) is a permanent body of state financial control of the Kirov region .
The Control and Audit Chamber is formed by the Legislative Assembly of the region and is accountable to it.
It acts on the basis of the Charter of the Kirov region and the law of the Kirov region "On the Control and Audit Chamber of the Kirov Region" [1] .
The Chamber of Control and Accounts has organizational and functional independence, is a separate legal entity.

Key Tasks
- organization and implementation of control over the timely execution of revenue and expenditure items of the regional budget and budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds in terms of volume, structure and purpose;
- analysis and assessment of the effectiveness and appropriateness of expenditures of the regional budget and the use of property owned by the Kirov region;
- analysis and assessment of the validity of income and expenditure items of draft regional budget and budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds;
- financial expertise of draft regional laws, as well as existing regulatory legal acts of regional government bodies, providing for expenses covered by the regional budget, or affecting the formation and execution of the regional budget and the budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds;
- analysis of identified deviations from the established indicators of the regional budget and budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds and preparation of proposals aimed at eliminating them, as well as improving the budget process as a whole;
- Regular submission to the Legislative Assembly of the region and the Governor of the region of information on the results of ongoing control and expert-analytical activities;
- control over the use of intergovernmental transfers from the regional budget by local budgets;
- providing methodological and advisory assistance to the financial control authorities of municipalities.
