Steam locomotive G is a Russian passenger locomotive produced by the Bryansk and Kharkov factories. It was created to replace the less powerful A-series steam locomotives. Since the steam locomotives G were built together with the commodity series Sh, the same boilers and steam engines were installed on them. In general, the steam locomotives G turned out to be relatively heavy: the load from the moving axles on the rails reached 17 tf. Because of this, they were operated only on the Vladikavkaz and Sino-Eastern railways. On the Tuapse - Adler section, steam locomotives G were replaced by Kommersant tank-locomotives . Kommersant locomotives have been working on this site since 1936. [one]
