Story
The film is based on the real story of the 1970s girlish rock band The Runaways , according to the book “Neon Angel” by the lead singer of the group Sherry Carrie - testifies to her experience as a rock star, and also serves as a warning to teenagers and other people about the difficulties in fighting with drugs . David Bowie's “ Space Oddity ” acts as a metaphor for narration: a slow countdown; surreal but impressive growth to fame; then alienation and burnout - a long, long way from home.
The film was created in a free artistic manner, not claiming to accurately recreate the history of the group. The life of the group in show business is greatly reduced. The composition of the musicians, unlike the real group, does not change completely, and it falls apart with the departure of vocalist Chery Kerry, while in reality there were attempts to perform with other vocalists. In reality, the first group left Jackie Foxx (in the Robin-Robins movie) and she was the last to be credited to the team at the time of its creation. Filming began in June 2009 [2] [3] .
For the filming of the film, Kristen Stewart cut her hair into a ragged “ mallet ” haircut . Also for this film, Stuart learned to write with her left hand. .
