Perk ( English perk , short for English perquisite - privilege, privilege) is a concept from the world of computer role-playing games : a certain special feature, personality element, a distinctive feature of a game character. Perks have developed as one of the developers’s tricks in solving tasks such as modeling the development of characters, individualizing their interests, skills, characters and life situations, reflecting possible supernatural interventions in their destinies. In games that use the perks system, a certain set of them is created, and a system of in-game conditions is created to receive them. The use of perks is not a universally recognized standard in solving the problems of modeling a fictional world.
Perks first appeared in Fallout , where the SPECIAL role-playing system was introduced.
