Career

Most of his career he played for Peñarol. He played 12 matches for the Uruguayan national team and scored 6 goals. His debut took place on December 2, 1947 in a match against Colombia (2-0). Together with the Uruguayan national team, he took part in the 1947 South American Championship, where he spent six of his seven matches and scored 3 goals.

At the end of the 1940s, he was considered the main striker of the Uruguayan national team, but was gradually driven out of the base of Gijay .
