Career
Most of his career he played for Peñarol. He played 12 matches for the Uruguayan national team and scored 6 goals. His debut took place on December 2, 1947 in a match against Colombia (2-0). Together with the Uruguayan national team, he took part in the 1947 South American Championship, where he spent six of his seven matches and scored 3 goals.
At the end of the 1940s, he was considered the main striker of the Uruguayan national team, but was gradually driven out of the base of Gijay . At the 1950 World Cup he was included in the application of the national team, but he did not enter the field, however, he became the champion. In the 1953-1954 season, he played for Real Madrid (3 matches, 2 goals in the Spanish championship, as well as 9 matches and 6 goals in friendly tournaments). [one]
