Game plot

The plot of the game is based on the books of J.K. Rowling about Harry Potter .

It starts with the fact that you play for one of the 4 teams of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where you will meet characters you know from books. Later you will take part in the World Cup, where each national team has its own style and tactics. You will be able to control any of the 7 players on the team, score the Quaffle , beat off the Bludgers and catch the Snitch .

As you perform various tricks and earn points, you will receive collection cards.

Gameplay

At first, the player flies for hunters (attackers) and his task is to pass the quaffle between them passes (optional) and throw him into the enemy’s rings. If the quaffle is selected, then you must catch it and take it back.

Bonuses (given for committing passes):

  • Acceleration. The player makes a strong leap forward. It is effective if the opponent tries to take the ball away or there is no one to give a pass ahead.
  • Bluger. Allows temporarily disabling an opponent’s hunter and selecting a quaffle. The hunter at this moment is patronized by their beaters, if the bludger gets into one of them, it will be repulsed. If used successfully, an adversary catcher gets a penalty.
  • Superblow. The player scores a spectacular goal: throws a quaffle in a jump, commits a “volleyball pitch” for him, or hits the ball with a broom. Superblow can also be used to select the ball. If used successfully, an adversary catcher gets a penalty.
  • Team strike. Players showing excellent teamwork score one or two goals (Ravenclaw is the only team to score three at once). In some team attacks, not only hunters participate (for example, the Weasley twins or Victor Krum ). If used successfully, an adversary catcher gets a penalty. Team strikes of most teams are based on the stereotypes of a country:
    • Japan - explicit use of martial arts;
    • USA - “basketball” hit;
    • England - smoke that appears during a team attack, red, white and blue (the color of the national flag);
    • Australia - a blow in the style of "surfing";
    • Northern team - ice tracks stretching behind the players, blinding the enemy;
    • Spain - a “dance" hit;
    • France - a hit in the style of "acrobatics on a trapeze";
    • Bulgaria - a blow that is clearly based on the Vronsky feint (dangerous catcher distraction) mentioned in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire;
    • Germany - a “football" kick.

As the number of points increases and combined passes or attacks are made, the length of the strips on the side of the counters increases. When the halves of the snitch converge, they turn into a snitch and control passes to the catcher, which can be accelerated by the golden trail of the snitch. At the press of a button, the snitch is captured, while outwardly it does not seem so.
