Andre Ayu ( fr. André Ayew ; born December 17, 1989, Seclin , France ) is a Ghanaian footballer , striker of the Fenerbahçe club and the national team of Ghana . Andre's father is Abedi Pele , uncle is Kwame Ayyu , brothers are Jordan Ayyu and Abdul Rahim Ayyu . Participant in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, African Nations Cups 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2017.

Club career

On April 28, 2011, he scored four goals against Nice in the French Championship match (Marseille won 4-2) [2] .

On June 10, 2015, Ayu, as a free agent, moved to Swansea City , playing in the English Premier League . The contract was concluded for four years [3] . In August 2015, he scored three goals in four matches and received a reward for a player of the month of the Premier League [4] . In his first season in the English Championship, Ayyu scored 12 goals [5] .

On August 8, 2016, Ayyu moved to West Ham United for 20.5 million pounds, with which he signed a four-year contract. It was the most expensive acquisition in the history of the club [5] , in 2018 this transfer record was broken after the acquisition of Issa Diop for 22 million pounds [6] .

On July 25, 2018, on loan, he transferred to Fenerbahce . The agreement also stipulates the option of buying Ayu by the Turkish club at the end of the season [7] .

Team appearances

On January 19, 2010, at the 2010 African Nations Cup, Ayyu scored his first goal for the national team against Burkina Faso .

At the African Cup of Nations 2015, Ayyu was the main striker of the Ghana national team. At the tournament, he became the top scorer of the tournament with three goals scored, but Ghana could not win the tournament, losing in the final of Côte d'Ivoire on a penalty (8: 9).

In the summer of 2019, at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt , Andre was called up to his national team . In the first match against Benin, he scored a goal, and the teams tied 2-2.
