Career
Benoit Cheyroux became the best player of the 2008/09 season according to fans. This is a reward for stability throughout the season. According to the results, Cheiro was ahead of striker Mamada Nyang , who gained 4 thousand votes less. The third position in the competition was taken by Algerian Karim Ziani , for whom 15,484 votes out of 145 thousand fans who participated in the vote on the official OM website were cast.
At the end of January 2015, Cheyrou joined the Canadian club MLS “ Toronto ” [3] . His goal against Montreal Impact in the extra-time of the second match of the Eastern Conference finals on November 30 helped Toronto make it to the 2016 MLS Cup final, [4] in which they lost on December 10 in the Seattle Sounders penalty shoot-out ".
