Thirteen (2010 film)

The main character Vincent ( Sam Riley ), earning money as an electrician and performing repair work at one of the customers, accidentally overhears a story about a quick way to make good money. It is only necessary to precisely follow the instructions that will come by mail in a striped envelope to the owner of this house.

Vince's financial affairs are in a desperate situation. His father was hospitalized and is in serious condition. The treatment ate all the savings, I even had to lay down a house, and now the probability of losing my home becomes very real, and Vins had to say goodbye to his studies for an indefinite period.

On the last day of work in the customer’s house, everything turns out so that the recipient of the letter (a heroin addict with many years of experience) dies from an overdose , practically before Vince's eyes. Vince has a chance, taking this letter and posing as a deceased, take a chance and follow the instructions in it.

Vince arrives in another city, where against his will he becomes one of the players of a kind of “ Russian roulette ”: after the signal, the participants of the action must press the trigger of the revolver, which is attached to the back of the head of another participant.

Vince's admission that he is not the person to whom the letter was sent is no longer able to save him from participating in this crazy death roulette. Behind each of the participants is a criminal gang that has already bet millions of dollars on them, and Vince really has one alternative: either to be killed, as an extra witness, or to go through a whirlwind of murders. He becomes a player at number 13.

In the first round, one cartridge is loaded into the drum. Then in two. In the next - three. After the end of the third round, the representatives of the remaining participants draw balls wrapped in foil. Two balls are black and the rest are white.

The few remaining participants who got the white balls receive certain prize money and can leave the “competition”. The same two, who will draw out two black balls, have yet to participate in the final duel, where the revolver is placed on the opponent's forehead. As a result, only one should remain alive, he will take the main prize share.

Fatal balls go to Vince and Ronald ( Ray Winston ), a half-crazy overweight man who has already passed through this "death roulette" three times.

The duel is won by Vince, who became the winner in this clandestine sweepstakes. Jasper ( Jason Statham ), Ronald's brother, having lost a lot of money and his brother, leaves, harboring hatred for Vince.

Vince, having received the money, sends it to his family, keeps some of the money for himself, gets on the train to go home to Ohio.

Jasper accidentally sees Vincent at the station and takes the same train. Once in the same carriage, Jasper kills Vince and takes the bag, believing that there is prize money, and hides, jumping out at the first stop.

In agony, Vincent takes out a receipt for sending money and checks and swallows it.
