Location
20 km southeast of the regional center of Dobrush , 45 km from Gomel , 12 km from the Zakopytye railway station , located on the Gomel - Unecha line .

History
According to written sources, the village has been known since the 18th century and was part of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 1st partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth ( 1772 ) as part of the Russian Empire in the Gomel volost of the Belitsky district of the Mogilev province . Since 1775, the village was owned by Field Marshal Count P. A. Rumyantsev-Zadunaysky . Since 1834, the possession of Field Marshal Count I.F. Paskevich . In 1798, in the Dobrush economy of the Gomel estate.
From the 2nd half of the 19th century a bakery store and a hemp workshop were operating. In 1897 - 3 prayer houses of Old Believers , 3 stumps, a windmill , a brick factory , 20 shops, 2 taverns . In 1907, the village school had 120 students.
From 1908 to May 9, 1923 the center of the Kormyansky volost of the Gomel region.
Since 1910, the telegraph worked.
On June 15, 1920, 38 yards burned down during a fire.
Since December 8, 1926, the center of the Ogorodnya-Gomel village council of Dobrushsky , from August 4, 1927 of Terekhovsky, from February 12, 1935 of the Dobrush district of the Gomel district , from February 20, 1938 of the Gomel region .

In 1959, the village was part of the “Defense” collective farm with a center in the village of Korma . It housed a secondary school , library , maternity hospital, pharmacy , hospital , veterinary department, liaison office , separator, sewing workshop.
