Club career

At the MLS Super Draft 2001, Johnson was selected in the second round by the Dallas Burn club, and became one of the youngest players to sign up for the league. In January 2005, the Portuguese “ Benfica ” was offering $ 5 million for the player’s transfer, but the league and Johnson himself refused this offer [1] .

On February 14, 2006, the Dallas salary cap problem exchanged Johnson at Kansas City Wizards for two distribution packages [2] . In the off-season of 2006 and 2007, Johnson trained with the club of the English Premier League " Reading " [3] .

In July 2007, speculation increased around Johnson's possible move to the English Premier League. International Career

In 2000-2001, Johnson playing for the youth team of the United States , scored 23 goals in 25 matches.
