Career
Aron Einar comes from a sports family, his father Gunnar Malmqvist Gunnarson and brother Arnor Thor Gunnarson are known as handball players, and Utley 's half-brother Maur Runarsson is known as a football player [4] . He began his sports career as a handball player: at the age of 15 he made his debut with the Thor in the Iceland championship , becoming one of his youngest debutants of all time [5] [6] . At the age of 15-16 he was simultaneously called up by the youth teams of the country both in handball and in football, but in the end at this age he decided to finally focus on football [5] .
Aron's debut in adult football also took place in 2005 in the football section of the Tor club. Already in 2006, he moved to the Dutch AZ . His debut took place in the 2007/08 season. In June 2008 he moved to Coventry City . Here he became famous for his long throw-in , which, apparently, is the result of his youthful career in handball [7] .
On July 8, 2011, Aron agreed on a three-year contract with Cardiff City [8] .
Aron made his debut for the national team in a friendly match against the national team of Belarus on February 2, 2008.
