Kadylyk ( Ottoman. قاضيلق ; turk . Kadılık , Crimean-Tat. Qadılıq ) is a judicial district, the smallest administrative-territorial unit of the Ottoman state . Judicial power in the Kadylyk was exercised by a Sharia judge - Kadi .

Kadylyks in Crimea
After the conquest of the Genoese colonies and the Principality of Theodoro in 1475, their former territory was divided into 5 Kadylyk: Kefinsky, Sudaksky, Kerch, Mangupsky and Balaklava, which, along with two Kadylyks outside the Crimean peninsula (Azaksky and Tamansky) made up Kefinsky Eylet .
