Dzheitun (until 1991 - LAM Bank) is an oil and gas condensate field in Turkmenistan . Located in the Balkan region , in the southwestern part of the country, in the waters of the Caspian Sea to the west of the city of Khazar (Cheleken). Opened in 1967 . Mastering began in 1978 . Included in the Turkmen oil project Cheleken . The depth of the sea is from 15 m to 30 m.
Refers to the West Turkmen oil and gas region .
Oil-bearing capacity is associated with sediments of Pliocene age. Deposits at a depth of 2.7-3.9 km.
The initial oil reserves of 50 million tons, gas 30 billion m3.
The field operator is Dragon Oil, an Anglo-Arab oil company. Oil production in 2008 amounted to 2 million tons.
At the Dzheytun field, production is carried out from 18 old wells from productive horizons located at depths of 2300–2500 m.
In Dzheitune, Dragon Oil has installed a LAM 21 drilling platform. It has already drilled 3 wells. In total, it is planned to drill four production wells at the field.
