Kiryat Eliezer ( Hebrew קריית אליעזר ), officially - Haifa Municipal Stadium ( Hebrew אצטדיון העירוני חיפה ) is a multi-purpose stadium formerly in Haifa , Israel . As of June 2017, the stadium has been completely dismantled - a residential quarter is planned to be built on the site of the arena.

Sometimes it was the venue for home matches of the Israeli national football team. On an ongoing basis, since 1956 , is the home stadium of the football clubs Makabi Haifa and Hapoel Haifa . The stadium was designed for 14,002 spectators and divided into 14 sectors.
It was opened on September 24, 1955 with a match between the clubs of Macabi Haifa and Hapoel Haifa , which ended with a score of 4: 1. The stadium was at the disposal of the municipality of Haifa and belonged to the city.
At the beginning of the 2014/15 season home matches of the Haifa football teams Maccabi and Hapoel began to be held at the Sammy Ofer stadium, opened in 2014.
