Biography
Born in the family of a worker in a faience factory. Ukrainian .
He graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Mechanical Engineering in 1940.
From 1940 to 1942 he worked at the Voroshilovgrad Locomotive Plant , at the construction of a tank plant in Omsk , from 1942 to 1952 at the Kolomenskoye Engineering Plant named after In V. Kuibyshev .
Member of the CPSU since 1944 . From 1952 he was at party work: from 1956 to 1959 - the second secretary of the Moscow Regional Committee of the CPSU, from 1959 to 1963 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Moscow Regional Council.
From 1963 to 1985, he was the first secretary of the Moscow regional committee of the CPSU (during the division of the regional committee until December 1964, he held the post of head of the rural regional committee). During this period, much was done for agriculture, textile industry and construction in the region. [one]
A candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1961-1964), a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1964-1986). Member of the Council of the Union of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of 4-11 convocations (1954-1986) from the Moscow Region, member of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR (1966-1984).
Since 1985 - a personal pensioner of national importance.
He died on September 19, 1995 in Moscow. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 7).
Posthumously awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Moscow Region [2] .
