Vila Baleira ( port. Vila Baleira ) - a city on the south coast of the island of Porto Santo , which is part of the autonomous region of Madeira in Portugal . The administrative center of the municipality of Porto Santo with a population of 4474 people [1] . The city has status since August 6, 1996 .
Under the previous administrative division (before Madeira acquired autonomy in 1976 ), the city of Vila Baleira, like the municipality of Porto Santo , was part of the Funchal administrative district.
