History
In 1987, Yegor Letov was almost completely isolated due to problems with the authorities. Realizing that there will be no outside support, he learns to play all the instruments himself. The only ones who helped him were the Peak and the Horn group (brothers Oleg and Yevgeny Lishchenko). They provided him with recording equipment (except for the Olympus-003 tape recorder provided by Dmitry Logachev) and musical instruments. In May 1987, Yegor Letov began recording albums. The album "The Mousetrap" includes songs from 1984-1986. Subsequently, Letov will call this album his first successful record, a completely "independent" album, the best album at the time of recording " Armageddon-Pops ", "naive, but very lively" [1] .
I remember that when I finished it, brought it together and cut it to the fullest - I began to jump in the most frantic way around the room to the ceiling and yell from tearing joy and pride. I experienced a natural triumph.

Album Record
Recording was done by overlay. First Letov recorded drums, then rhythm guitar and bass. Lastly, a voice was recorded simultaneously with guitar solos [2] . In order to fix a complex drum part onto the film, Letov recorded it at ninth speed and played twice as slow as the required tempo. Then the tape recorder switched to 19th speed. As a result, the drums sounded at a faster pace, corresponding to the speed of the composition [3] . Using the same means, the next albums of this year will be recorded: “ Good !! "," Totalitarianism "," Necrophilia "and" Red Album ".
