Algimantas Kunčius ( lit. Algimantas Kunčius ; August 14, 1939 , Pakruojis , Lithuania ) is a recognized classic of Lithuanian photography.

Biography
From 1945 to 1957 he lived and studied in Kaunas . In 1958–1960 he studied at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University . In 1960-1963 he studied at the Faculty of Music of the Vilnius Pedagogical Institute .
1963-1965 worked as a press photographer for the weekly Literatūra ir menas (Literature and Art).
1992-1998 - head of the department of illustrations of the magazine "Kultūros barai" ("Spheres of Culture").
1997-2001 worked as head of the art photography section of the Lithuanian Art Museum.
1968-1969 was a member of the organizing committee of the Lithuanian Photo Art Society and one of its founders.
1970-1980 served as chairman of the artistic council of this Society.
1981–1991 - Consultant of the Lithuanian Photo Art Union and member of the Union’s board from the time of its foundation to the present day.
1991–1997 and since 2007 - Member of the Commission of the National Prizes of Lithuania in the field of culture and art
1976 The International Federation of Photo Artists is assigned the status of a photo artist ( AFIAP ).

- 1995 - Laureate of the National Award of Lithuania in the field of culture and art.
- 2001 awarded the Order of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas 5th degree.
