About the complex

V. Blinov Sports and Concert Complex is located on Dekabristov Street, at the end of Martynov Boulevard ( Central Administrative District ).

In January 1975, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR A. Kosygin signed a decree on the construction of an indoor ice rink in Omsk with artificial ice. For more than 10 years, construction was carried out on an individual project, at one time the JCC stood "mothballed", but the regional leadership achieved the resumption of construction. On October 30, 1986, the State Admission Commission signed the acceptance certificate for the operation of the indoor ice rink building for 5500 seats with a rating of "excellent" [1] . The first match took place on February 6, 1987 in the presence of 4,500 spectators [2] [3] . The match, played on February 6, can be literally called historical. The first rival of Vanguard in the new arena was the Kirov-Chepetsk Olympia. The result of that memorable meeting - 11: 4 in favor of Omsk. The author of the first goal was Avangard captain Viktor Graf, who made a double in that game. Avangard gates were defended by Sergey Khramtsov, Olimpia gates Andrei Trefilov, who later played at the NHL clubs Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabers, Chicago Black Hawks, who became the 1992 Olympic champion.

The complex was called the Irtysh. In 2000, in connection with the fiftieth anniversary of Omsk hockey, by order of the Governor of the Omsk Region L.K. Polezhaev, he was renamed the SKK them. V. Blinova, in honor of the Olympic hockey champion Viktor Blinov .

CCM was the home stadium of Avangard HC , but after the appearance of the Arena-Omsk, it began to host meetings of the women's Super League volleyball. Today SKK is the home arena of the women's volleyball club Omichka .

In the immediate vicinity of the CCM is the Avangard hockey center. The universal arena of the CCM provides the possibility of holding both sports competitions with seating in the stands of more than 5,200 spectators, as well as concert and entertainment events. The following people are engaged in the sports and concert complex: sports section for short track, sports section for aerobics, sports section for martial arts - taekwondo, sports organization for figure skating, amateur hockey groups.
